Lionel Sawyer & Collins names two new Shareholders in 2012
As a member of the Firm’s Litigation Department, Christopher Mathews has represented business executives, corporate clients and government agencies in state and federal courts, military courts and arbitration proceedings in Nevada and throughout the world. He joined Lionel Sawyer & Collins upon his retirement from the military in 2007. His distinguished career in the United States Air Force included service as an intelligence officer, as a member of the Air Force Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps and as a judge on the U.S. Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals. Mr. Mathews received his J.D. degree cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center in 1988.
Matthew Policastro’s practice emphasis in the Business Law Department is on estate planning and taxation. He is experienced in federal tax controversy matters, including audits and appeals, and has advised numerous nonprofits with respect to compliance with the Internal Revenue Code. Prior to starting with Lionel Sawyer & Collins, Mr. Policastro was an associate with the Dispute Resolution Group at Deloitte & Touche LLP. Mr. Policastro graduated from Syracuse University College of Law in 2002, with a J.D. degree magna cum laude and was awarded an LL.M. in Taxation the following year from Georgetown University Law Center. He joined the Firm in 2005.
