February 8, 2010 – Lionel Sawyer & Collins is pleased to announce that Lauren Calvert received the Martin P. Dowling Volunteer of the Year Award at the 2009 Volunteer Appreciation Awards held by the Clark County Bar Association (CCBA) and the Clark County Law Foundation on January 21, 2010.
In addition, Ms. Calvert was recognized for the second consecutive year with a CCBA Circle of Support Award for her work on the New Lawyers Committee, where she serves as co-chair.
Presented by CCBA’s outgoing president, Eighth Judicial District Court Judge Frank Sullivan, the awards recognize those members who have volunteered their time and energy in support of the bar’s committees and events.
Based in the firm’s Las Vegas office, Ms. Calvert is an associate in the Gaming and Regulatory Law Department. She is also a teaching assistant in Adjunct Professors Bob Faiss’ and Jennifer Roberts’ “Introduction to Gaming Law” class at the William S. Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada, Las Vegas. In 2009, Ms. Calvert was named a Rising Star for Gaming Law by Mountain States Super Lawyers.
