Drainfield Repair

Drainfield and Leach Field Repair in Ocala

The drainfield is where treated effluent soaks back into the soil, and a failing field is the emergency behind most surfacing sewage. When you see wet spongy ground or smell odor over the leach field, the soil absorption area has lost capacity. Lionelsawyer diagnoses the cause and rebuilds gravel trench or plastic chamber fields sized to the perc rate for lots across the Silver Springs Shores area.

Why a Failing Field Is Urgent

A surfacing drainfield pushes untreated effluent to the yard, where it contaminates the ground and can back up into the house. The problem compounds after heavy rain, when the Marion County water table rises and the tired field gives out entirely. Acting early sometimes saves the field with a D-box reset or an added trench instead of a full replacement.

Our Process

We inspect the distribution box first, since a settled or clogged D-box overloads one trench and starves the rest, and resetting it is often the whole fix. If the field itself is spent, we lay out a new soil absorption area to the perc rate, install washed gravel or gravelless chambers over geotextile fabric, and pull the Marion County permit. We restore even flow across the laterals and grade the surface off SW 27th Avenue.
